The first step to sustainability is admitting you’re not sustainable.

Back in April, the Trump administration started removing EPA web pages and data about climate change from the federal government’s web site.

Now, Chicago is organizing cities nationally to hack Trump’s reactionary move: Cities, including Seattle, are posting all the EPA data from their own archives.

The City of Seattle champions open data, and is committed to addressing climate change through policies and actions based in science and data. The Trump Administration’s removal of climate change information from the EPA site does not remove the problem of climate change, and denial is not a solution. By republishing these pages, Seattle is demonstrating its support for an open and informed discourse on climate change. Along with other U.S. cities, states, universities and businesses, Seattle will continue to lead on climate action by pursuing targets of the Paris Climate Accord from which the Trump Administration has withdrawn.
